Parents shortlist a tutor in a few minutes. They want to know what you teach, for which grade, when, where, how much, and who teaches. A class website answers all six before they call, and lets them book a slot. On Storzu a tuition site lists classes rather than products and takes enrolments by date and time, with fees paid by UPI or cash.
What parents check before they call
- Subject and grade: “Class 9–10 Maths and Science”, not “all subjects”.
- Board and exam: CBSE, ICSE, your state board, or JEE / NEET / CUET.
- Timings: which days and hours, and how long each session runs.
- Where: your centre's area, home visits, or online.
- Fee: per month or per term, and what it includes — notes, tests, doubt sessions.
- Who teaches: your qualification, years of teaching and recent results.
Each of these belongs on the class itself, so a parent comparing three tutors on a phone sees it without scrolling through a brochure.
1. Set up a coaching site
Sign up on storzu.com with Google or your email address and choose Coaching Classes as your business type. Verify your mobile number — your classes go live once the owner's number is verified. Your site starts on a free store-xxxxxx.storzu.com link; a named address or your own domain can come later and the first link keeps working.
2. Add each batch as a class
One batch, one class. For each, fill in:
- Name: subject, grade and timing — “Class 12 Physics (CBSE) — Tue, Thu, Sat 5 pm”.
- Fee: the monthly or term fee. Add priced options when one class has several fees.
- Description: days and timings, batch size, syllabus covered this term, test schedule, study material, and your demo-class policy.
- Where: At Center, Home Visit or Online.
- Photos: the classroom, a page of your notes, last year's results board. Parents trust what they can see.
Typical tuition fees in India (2026)
| Class type | Typical fee |
|---|---|
| Group tuition, Class 6–8 | ₹1,500–3,000 a month |
| Group tuition, Class 9–10 | ₹2,500–5,000 a month |
| Class 11–12, boards | ₹4,000–12,000 a month |
| JEE / NEET, full year | ₹50,000–2,50,000 a year |
| Foundation (Class 8–10, olympiad and entrance basics) | ₹20,000–80,000 a year |
| Board-exam crash course (4–8 weeks) | ₹3,000–15,000 |
| One-on-one tuition | ₹500–2,500 an hour |
Metro centres sit at the top of each band and smaller towns at the bottom. State the fee; parents skip tutors who answer “contact for fees”.
3. Switch on enrolments
Set your teaching hours and switch bookings on. From then on every class shows Enrol Now: the student picks a date and a time, adds their name, phone number and a note (“Class 10, weak in algebra”), and signs in with their email. You can set how many students each slot takes and close the days you don't teach — exam breaks, festivals, your own holidays.
Each enrolment lands in your dashboard as Requested. Confirm it and it becomes Scheduled; later it moves to In progress and Completed, or No show if the student didn't turn up. That list is your attendance record for demo classes and new admissions.
Before you set your hours, each class shows Call and WhatsApp buttons, so a parent can still reach you while you set up.
4. Collect fees by UPI or cash
There is no gateway in the middle. The enrolment shows Pay by UPI with your UPI QR code, so the fee goes from the parent's UPI app straight to your bank, or the parent pays cash at your centre. Storzu takes no commission on fees. For the monthly fee, a short message on the first of the month with your UPI ID does the job; see accepting UPI payments without commission.
What makes parents pick your centre
- A demo class as its own listing. Free or a small fee, bookable like any class. It is the easiest yes for a parent who has never met you.
- Results, with permission. “Class of 2026: 14 students above 90% in Maths” says more than any adjective. Put it in your About text and on the class.
- Honest batch sizes. “Max 12 students” in the description answers the question every parent asks about attention.
- Test series as a priced option. Parents compare what the fee includes; spell out weekly tests, mock papers and doubt sessions.
- Who teaches what. In a centre with several teachers, name the teacher on each class; a student can choose one when they enrol.
Getting found by parents nearby
- Google Business Profile: create a free profile for your centre and add your Storzu link as the website. For “tuition near me”, this is what parents see first.
- Your own domain: a site on its storzu.com address is kept out of search results. Connect a domain like
sharmaclasses.inand that site can be found on Google. - Parent WhatsApp groups: share one class at a time when admissions open, with the fee and the timing in the message.
- The QR code: print your site's QR on flyers, the board outside your centre and your visiting card.
Teaching music, dance or a language?
The same setup works, and these guides cover what is different for your students: music and dance academies and language classes. For one-to-one coaching of adults, see the consultant and coach guide.
What it costs
Storzu's Free forever plan is ₹0 — list up to 10 classes, take 100 enrolments per month with COD or direct UPI, and pay no per-order commission. Fees reach you directly by UPI or cash, so there is no payment charge in between. Every plan is on the pricing page.
